After School Tutorial Program and Summer Camp

One of the ways in which we love our youth in the community is through our After School Tutorial Program, Jubilee Garden and our Summer Camp.

After School Program

Our After School Program is open every weekday.  We currently have 35 children who attend on a regular basis and we are at capcity with our largest after school program ever  These children come from our local elementary and middle schools.  These children are our neighbors, some of them even live in our Zechariah 8 houses.

This year we have implemented an emphasis on reading and math into our program.  In third grade teachers stop teaching students how to read, but expect them to be reading to learn.  It is our goal to make sure that none of our children get left behind.  We are able to give them homework help, as well as extra tutoring in areas where they are struggling.

It is a our goal for all of students to excel in academics as well as character and spiritual development.  We have boys and girls clubs where our children learn about different life skills.  We also have a Bible lesson weekly for their spiritual development.

New York City Trip

Because of the dream of one of our after school program students to go to the Big Apple, we took our students to New York City in late May. Visit our blog to see pictures and hear stories.

Summer Camp

We will have 45 children from Kindergraden- 8th grade joining us for a summer filled with daily chapel services, education time, art classes and field trips every Friday.
